On Monday, Oklahoma Sooners QB Kyler Murray changed his future.

After being drafted 9th overall by the Oakland Athletics in last year’s MLB Draft, Murray stated he would join the team after one season of playing football for Oklahoma. He has now changed course, and officially submitted his paperwork to enter the NFL Draft process.

Technically speaking, Murray now contains 72 hours to withdraw his name from the draft pool. According to sources, the 21-year old is confident in his decision moving forward.

Murray will likely come out as a projected 1st round draft pick, but where does he wind up? While the Arizona Cardinals are an unlikely suitor, an old interview with newly hired HC Kliff Kingsbury, who was coaching for Texas Tech at the time, reveals he would draft Murray with the #1 overall pick.

Other potential destinations include the Jacksonville Jaguars, New York Giants, and perhaps the Washington Redskins.
