Josh Gordon Failed Another Drug Test

According to a report from Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports, Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon failed a drug test in March and tested positive for marijuana and dilute. Gordon has not played since the 2014 season due to multiple suspensions.
In 5 games during the 2014 season, Gordon had 24 receptions, for 303 yards and 0 touchdowns. After having that breakout season in 2013, catching for over 1000 yards and 9 touchdowns, Gordon never lived up to everyone’s expectations. A big reason why he has not is because he has been involved in trouble with the league ever since the 2014 season.
Before he got suspended, Gordon showed he has potential to become a good receiver. He showed great hands and good speed to get down the field. If he never got suspended, Gordon might be one of the best receivers in the league right now.
Since this most likely means Gordon will not step on the field anytime soon, the Browns has to think about if the team really wants to keep him on the roster. It would be the smart thing to cut Gordon from the team now rather than wait and do it later, since he is a repeat offender and does not show signs of stopping anytime soon.
On the Gordon side of things, it will be really hard to get back on the field after failing the latest drug test. Gordon has to work extra hard to get out of trouble off the field, even that might not be enough to get him back on the field. One thing is for sure, his days as a member of the Cleveland Browns are numbered. There might be a chance that Gordon stays suspended and does not ever come back to the league like Justin Blackman.
