Joey Bosa Making Bad First Impressions

Lantern Images
Just last week, a report came out that San Diego Chargers Joey Bosa was struggling to win reps during practice with the team. While that’s not a big deal to many, things are now getting worse.

According to a new report, Bosa supposedly skipped the Chargers three-day mandatory minicamp on Tuesday. The number three overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft is reportedly skipping these practices because of contract negotiations.

Not only did he miss these mandatory practices, but according to Michael Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune, Bosa skipped last weeks OTAs for the same reasoning.

It’s normal for players to hold out of practices for this reason, but for rookies, this is unusual. Bosa is the only player within the top 19 who has yet to sign his contract.

Of course the Chargers can not fine or punish Bosa for missing these minicamps (since he is not under contract), but he is making a bad first impression in my eyes.
