After a disappointing tenure with Gabe Kapler, the Philadelphia Phillies have found his replacement. On Thursday, the team hired Joe Girardi to become the 55th manager in franchise history. This is Girardi’s first manager position since he was fired by the New York Yankees in 2017.
With a team filled with talented players, including Bryce Harper, the Phillies have the talent to make it to the postseason. With Girardi’s experience, he could be one of the best recent managers Philadelphia has had since the days of Charlie Manuel.
