Impact of Gregory’s Suspension

Just a few days ago, it was reported that Dallas Cowboys defensive end Randy Gregory will be suspended for the first four regular season games due to violation of the NFL’s drug policy. This is now Gregory’s fourth failed test, and leaves many wondering if Gregory is worth the risk.

One player that has a similar situation is Eastern Kentucky’s Noah Spence, who has off the field issues. Gregory situation may not be helping his plea into the NFL.

Where do you go from here? With the fourth pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, it makes a lot more sense now for the Cowboys to take a prospect such as DeForest Buckner or Joey Bosa, instead of a quarterback (which is what many speculated the team would do).

With players such as Gregory, Greg Hardy, and Ronaldo McClain, is it time for Dallas to second guess what players they let into the franchise, or will it all pay off in the end?

Gregory is without a doubt one of the greater pass rushers coming out of last years draft, and there is no doubt in my mind that Dallas can change his “ways”. The team was one of the worst in forcing turnovers last year, and that was mainly due to the lack of pressure on opposing quarterbacks.

With 2016 coming up, and all players staying relatively healthy (for now), is this going to be another great draft for Dallas, or will they crack under the pressure once again?
