How Alexa Bliss has Taken Over the Women’s Division

Since the WWE Draft last year, it was marked as the start of the “New Era” in the company. That also meant the WWE’s women’s division was getting their chance to show that women’s wrestling truthfully matters, and within a year, an individual by the name of Alexa Bliss made her mark in the industry.
Bliss was drafted in the ninth round, and was the 47th overall pick, as she was sent to Smackdown Live!. Bliss immediately made her mark in her main roster debut, as she defeated future Smackdown Live! Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch. Bliss later on was scheduled to fight within a fatal five-way match for the right to face Lynch for the title at No Mercy, but due to a legitimate injury, the match was postponed until November 8th.
Despite being unsuccessful, one month later, Bliss defeated Lynch at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs in a tables match, which lead to her holding the Smackdown Live! Women’s Championship for her first title in her career.
Bliss would go on to reign as champion for the next two months before dropping it to Naomi. Despite that, Naomi would be forced to vacate the championship due to her own legitimate injury, after holding it for ten days. This would lead to Bliss defeating Lynch once again in order to become the first two-time Smackdown Live! Women’s Champion.
Bliss would once again drop the title to Naomi at WrestleMania 32, she would then enter the Superstar Shake-up, and get drafted to Monday Night Raw.
Once debuting on Raw, it didn’t take long for Bliss to make yet another imrpint in the WWE, as she won her way to face off against Raw Women’s Champion, Bayley, who she defeated twenty days later at Payback to become the new Raw Women’s Champion.
This accolade will forever mark the reason why Bliss has without a doubt been taking over the Women’s division in the WWE. This goes to show critics of the women’s division that there is potential in these wrestlers, and that Bliss is living proof of that.
