After being traded from the Miami Dolphins to the Houston Texans, Laremy Tunsil has become a staple to Houston’s offensive line. During the offseason, locking up Tunsil was a priority for the team. On Friday, Tunsil and the team agreed to a three-year deal worth $66M with $50M guaranteed. Tunsil was on the last year of his rookie contract.
Since being drafted by Miami, Tunsil protected the likes of Ryan Tannehill, Matt Moore, Jay Cutler, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Deshaun Watson.
With Tunsil now locked up for the foreseeable future, the Texans will now focus on surrounding Watson with the appropriate pieces to be successful. The team recently traded DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals, but added David Johnson and Brandin Cooks via the offseason.
