Power Forward Taj Gibson, of the Chicago Bulls, recently went through surgery for his left ankle. Much to Gibson’s satisfaction, the surgery was a success, and went as planned.

However, it imposed an obstacle of time for Gibson’s return, as he will be inactive for an estimated four months. This could have a potential impact on the Chicago Bulls for the beginning of the 2015-2016 season. Come the end of the recovery period, Gibson should more than likely be ready to step on the court again, for his seventh consecutive season.

Last season, Gibson appeared in 62 games where he managed to post 10.3 ppg on .502 shooting. He also managed to preform in all 12 of Chicago’s playoff games, record 7.4 ppg, 5.5 rpg and 1.0 apg.

With Gibson only being 29 years of age, will the Bulls continue to believe in the physical forward? There has always been speculation for a potential trade between the Bulls and a mystery team, but it seems doubtful that Gibson has plans to wearing a new uniform next season.
