On Wednesday, it was reported that former Welterweight and Middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre will announce his retirement at a press conference on Thursday. With over 17 years of professional experience, St-Pierre is recognized as the greatest Welterweight of all-time.
Georges St-Pierre will officially announce his retirement from MMA tomorrow morning at a press conference in Montreal, multiple sources told ESPN. GSP had hoped to secure a super-fight w/ Khabib. Once that didn’t materialize, he decided it was time to walk away. More shortly.

Dating back to his Welterweight title win over Matt Hughes, St-Pierre has only lost twice in his career.
Most recently, St-Pierre returned and defeated Michael Bisping to win the Middleweight title. Due to health complications, he vacated the title and originally held plans to drop down in weight to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov later this year.
Set as a future Hall of Fame talent, the era of Georges St-Pierre is finally coming to an end.
