With no Andre Ellington or Chris Johnson on Sunday, the Arizona Cardinals relied on their passing game when they went toe to toe with the St Louis Rams.

One player that stood out tremendously was wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Finishing the game with 8 receptions and 55 total yards, the 32-year old became the 11th player in NFL history to catch 1000 receptions.

Fitzgerald is now the youngest player to achieve this milestone, as the Cardinals went on to win the game 27-3 (next youngest was Andre Johnson at 33).

Not only did Fitz get his 1000th reception, but he also has his 7th season with over 1000 receiving yards. This is the first time the receiver has posted over 1000 yards since the 2011 season.

The Arizona Cardinals now sit with a record of 10-2 on the season, proving themselves once again as a strong Super Bowl contender. Will this be the year Carson Palmer claims his first ring?
