Finalists Announced for 2020 Norris Trophy

On Monday, the three finalists for the 2020 Norris Trophy were revealed. The Norris Trophy is granted to the top NHL defence player with the best all-around ability.

Among the finalists are Washington Capitals John Carlson, Nashville Predators Roman Josi, and Tampa Bay Lightning Victor Hedman.

Carlson managed to lead all defence players in points this season, totaling 75 points in 69 games. His 15 goals tie a career-high for the 30-year old.

Behind Carlson in points is Josi, who has totaled 65 points to date. His 49 assists mark a career-high; 19 of which were on power play opportunities.

For Hedman, he was awarded the Norris Trophy during his impressive 2018 season. He has compiled 55 points through 66 games, and remains a dark horse for the award this season.

The winner of the Norris Trophy will be announced during the conference finals.
