Fighters Calling For Woodley Ahead of Fight Night 171

With Leon Edwards being pulled from the main event of UFC Fight Night 171, the UFC is in need for a new competitor to square off against Tyron Woodley. On Sunday afternoon, two names appeared as suitors.

Former interim Welterweight Champion Colby Covington took to Twitter to offer his services. Coming off a fifth-round loss to Kamaru Usman, this would place Covington back in the conversation among Welterweight contenders.

Another name is Gilbert Burns, who is coming off his TKO victory over Demian Maia on Saturday. It would mark for quite the turnaround, but would ultimately benefit his legacy.

Prior to losing the title, Woodley defeated Robbie Lawler for the Welterweight title. He defended his title successfully against Stephen Thompson, Demian Maia and Darren Till.
