After starting the season 2-5, the Denver Broncos are looking to get rid of some of the veterans on the team and that includes WR Emmanuel Sanders. On Tuesday, Denver traded Sanders and a 2020 5th-round pick to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2020 3rd and 4th-round pick. Sanders is going to be a free agent after this season.
Since 2017, Sanders saw his production decline. He could not remain healthy for a full season. Despite that, he is still a valuable receiver who is stuck in a losing situation and needs a change of scenery to showcase his talents.
San Francisco is pushing for a playoff run and has holes at the wide receiver position. Their current depth chart includes Dante Pettis,Marquise Goodwin, and Deebo Samuel. Just like Von Miller, Sanders was someone who was on the Broncos trade block for quite some time.
