After losing to Daniel Bryan on Friday in a tournament to crown a new WWE Intercontinental Champion, Drew Gulak’s time in WWE has come to a surprising end. On Saturday, Pro Wrestling Sheet confirmed that the WWE released Gulak after four years with the company.
In four years with the company, Gulak has won the Cruiserweight Championship once. Since signing with the company when they were bringing back the Cruiserweight Division, Gulak has been a staple of the division. Before getting released, Gulak was in a story line where he was partner of Daniel Bryan.
Despite the WWE cutting him, Sean Ross Sap reported that the reason this went down was because Gulak contract was running out or expired and he decided to not resign with the WWE.
