Doug Martin to Remain With Bucs?

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin, has had an NFL “roller coaster” career. From injuries to breakout seasons, this young and dynamic back is now seeking a contract extension with the team.

Only behind Adrian Peterson in rushing yards, Martin sits with 1,354 yards on 273 carries this season.  If Martin were to jump Peterson in rushing yards, he would be the first Buccaneer to do so in franchise history.

The 26-year old is set to become a free agent this offseason, and is sure to draw a lot of attention from other teams.

The Bucs should plan on solidifying an offer in the next week or so, before other teams start to plan on making bigger and more attractive offers.

Although he has struggled in certain seasons, Martin will most likely look like a top 10 running back in the 2016 season.

It would seem foolish for the Bucs to let Doug Martin see free agency, and I would expect a contract length at the range of three to five years.
