Dodgers, Skipper Don Mattingly part ways

Mattingly was hired as the successor to the legendary Joe Torre. Mattingly’s team went 446-363 under him, which is a winning percentage of .551 (55%). He has had the opportunity to manage Clayton Kershaw, Matt Kemp and Zack Greinke among others within the last five years.
Sources tell ESPN that Mattingly “wanted to play for a front office and ownership group that had hired him”. Mattingly had one year left on his contract and discussions were civil. Mattingly received an extension over the weekend, however he just perfered to move on.
Sources say the Miami Marlins and “several teams” have interest in Mattingly.
