DeSean Jackson Leaving Redskins via Free Agency?

While the Washington Redskins playoff chances are now put to rest, one aspect that is very much alive is the possibility of wide receiver DeSean Jackson leaving the Redskins via free agency.
According to multiple sources within Jacksons camp, including longtime friends and teammates, it is speculated that Jackson is very much contemplating leaving the Redskins in order to return to the Eagles in the upcoming offseason.
Jackson entered the league as a rookie in 2008 with the Eagles, and has been a part of the organization since 2013, where he was then cut due to “football reasons” in the Chip Kelly era.
Jackson went on to sign a three-year, $24 million deal with the Redskins, including $16 of that being guaranteed. In his three years with the franchise, Jackson has only posted 1,000+ receiving yards and 5+ touchdowns once, and that was in 2014.
How would Jackson fit back into the Eagles offense? Well, considering no receiver has posted 4 touchdowns in 2016, I would say a healthy DeSean Jackson is just what Philadelphia could use in the 2017 season.
In the 2016 regular season to date, Philadelphia ranks #12 when it comes to most dropped passes. Jackson may be a little banged up, but dropping passes is something you won’t see him do often. This past season, Jackson as an individual ranks #71 in most dropped passes, which is better than all of the starting Philadelphia Eagles receivers.
Jackson would find himself as a great addition for the Eagles, and I wouldn’t be surprised if the veteran leadership of Jackson helped receivers such as Nelson Agholor and Dorial Green-Beckham in the long haul.
