DeAndre Hopkins, Cardinals To Reach Massive Extension

With the 2020 season just day away, the Arizona Cardinals have elected to lock up wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins for the long-term future. It was reported that the two sides have agreed on an extension.

Hopkins, who was dealt to the Cardinals in March, is regarded as one of the top receivers in the NFL. He is a four-time Pro Bowl talent and three-time All-Pro selection.

Entering the 2020 season, Hopkins was scheduled to make $12.5 million. He had two years remaining in his current contract; keeping him with the team through the 2022 season.

Through his seven-year tenure with the Houston Texans, Hopkins recorded 8,602 receiving yards and 54 touchdowns. He led the league in touchdowns (13) during the 2017 campaign.
