Since 2015, a matchup between Lightweight Champion Khabib Ferguson and Tony Ferguson has been scheduled on four different occasions. In each instance, an injury or alternative measure has prevented two of the top ten pound-for-pound fighters in the world from going head-to-head.

After being scheduled for the fifth time, many are now speculating whether the coronavirus outbreak will force the UFC to delay the UFC 249 card scheduled to take place on April 18th.

According to UFC President Dana White, fans shouldn’t have any reason to be concerned. In the latest interview with ESPN, White claimed the UFC will continue to put on events, but understands the seriousness of the issue at hand.

The UFC recently hosted Fight Night on Saturday in which Charles Oliveira defeated Kevin Lee via third-round submission. The event took place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, and fans were not allowed inside the venue.

With travel restrictions to the United Kingdom, an announcement is expected for the new fight location for UFC Fight Night 171 between Tyron Woodley and Leon Edwards.
