Colts Sign Patrick Robinson

On Wednesday, it became official that the Colts have come to terms with another secondary player. This time, it will be free agent cornerback Patrick Robinson. 

The Colts passing defense was a mess last year, and were in need of a cornerback to start opposite of Pro-Bowler Vontae Davis. Originally, the team had Greg Toler, but it was clear that the Colts had no intention of signing him after he dealt with injuries each of the past three seasons. 

Robinson’s deal is worth 3 years and up to $12M. The only question is how well Patrick can produce when it comes to consistency. 

Originally, Robinson was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2010 in the first round. He winded up spending five seasons with the team before moving out to San Diego to play for the Chargers in 2015. 

Robinson started every game for the Chargers in 2015, and finished with 49 tackles and one interception. In 74 career games in the NFL, Robinson has 10 interceptions.
