One question asked by many this year was when, if he did, Miami Heat power forward Chris Bosh return to play. Bosh seemed to want to play, but Miami didn’t seem to be committed to activating him according to reports. Today the question was answered. If you’re a Miami fan it’s bad news, not the answer Heat fans wanted.

Bosh had seemed healthy and played up to the all-star break. Due to an undisclosed medical condition, Bosh was deactivated. Many wonder if this is related to the blood clotting in Bosh’s lung last year. Bosh displayed optimism that he could return and requested to return. The Heat however, seemed to be on a different boat, keeping Bosh on the bench.

The Heat and Bosh made the joint announcement one day after the National Basketball Players Association urged Bosh and the team to resolve his status.
“The Heat, Chris, the doctors and medical team have been working together throughout this process and will continue to do so to return Chris to playing basketball as soon as possible,” the Heat said in a statement. .

It’s the second consecutive year Bosh’s regular season has ended because of an injury detected over All-Star weekend. Bosh did not travel to Canada with the team, and the Heat have not offered a reason for Bosh’s continued absence from the court.
