Chicago Hires Billy Donovan as Head Coach

On Tuesday, it was reported that the Chicago Bulls have hired Billy Donovan as their next head coach. Donovan was formely with the Oklahoma City Thunder, where he led the team to a 243-157 (60.8%) record across five seasons.

The Bulls, who have not won 40+ games since the 2016-17 season, departed from head coach Jim Boylen in August. Chicago was one of multiple NBA franchises seeking a head coach in the offseason.

Prior to signing with the Bulls, Donovan peaked interest from both the Philadelphia 76ers and Indiana Pacers. According to the latest reports, Donovan interviewed with the Pacers on Monday.
