Chelsea: Midfielder Oscar To Be Transferred For £60 Million

Chelsea football club have come to terms with a deal to sell on their young 25 year old midfielder Oscar to the Chinese Super League team Shanghai SIPG . The deal is estimated to cost £60 million pound and will take place when the transfer window opens in January.

We already knew Chelsea were considering this deal with Shanghai SIPG when earlier this month Oscar exclaimed that “the transfer was 90% certain”.

Since he joined Chelsea in 2012 for £25 million from his former team Interacional. He has scored 38 times with over 200 appearances. Oscar has struggled to get into Antonio Conte’s Chelsea side since October, will join former Chelsea  boss Andre Villas-Boas in Shanghai.

Oscar has won the Premier League, Europa League and League Cup during his four and a half year spell at Stamford Bridge, will earn a reported £400,000 a week and the transfer fee will rank as the seventh-highest of all time.

After this transfer was settled the Chelsea boss Conte said after the money spent on Oscar that the money Chinese clubs are willing to spend that is is a “danger for all teams in the world”.

Oscar’s move is happening because former Manchester City player, Carlos Tevez is said to be on the verge of being the highest paid footballer by moving from the Boca Juniors to Shanghai Shenua in which he earns £615,000 a week
