On Wednesday, NBA free agent Carmelo Anthony was spotted in Los Angeles working out with members of the Brooklyn Nets. The 35-year old continues to struggle to find a home for the 2019 season, but this may be a positive sign of things to come.
The workouts that Anthony participated in were extremely informal, as scrimmages were taking place throughout the session. Despite having lived in New York when he played with the Knicks, this is the first time that Anthony and the Nets have been linked to one another.
Earlier in the offseason, Anthony stated in an interview that his representatives have been in contact with the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers. No progress has been made with those talks.
The 10-time All-Star played just 10 games with the Houston Rockets in 2018 before he was traded to the Chiago Bulls. During his short stint, Anthony averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds per game.
