Due to a lower body injury, the Montreal Canadiens will be without goaltender Carey Price for the next six weeks. Although the injury will not require any sort of surgery, expect the organization to keep a close eye on him.

With this timetable for a return, Price is expected to miss the next 16 games, and will be back around the January 1st Winter Classic in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Price was originally injured on October 29th, during a 4-3 loss to the Oilers. He would return on November 22nd for the Canadiens, but left three days later as he aggravated the injury.

Replacing Price will be rookie Mike Condon. The young goaltender is 8-2-3 this season as a starter, and is feeling full support as the Canadiens move forward.

In his last five seasons, Carey Price’s has 24 shutout performances, tied for the most in the NHL.
