On Tuesday, it was announced that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have hired Bruce Arians as their newest head coach. Most recently, Arians was the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals from 2013-17.

During Arians’ time in Arizona, he secured 3 seasons with 10+ victories in the regular season. In addition, Arians won NFL Coach of the Year twice during his tenure with the franchise.

Due to medical reasoning, Arians stepped down from his position in 2017. Per reports, prior to hiring the 66-year old, the team requested a physical from Arians to make sure he was in appropriate condition.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have not seen the postseason since 2007, and have not secured 10+ wins since the 2010 season. After departing from Jon Gruden in 2009, the team has switched head coaches on 4 occasions.
