Brian Hoyer’s Days are Limited

The dismal days of Brian Hoyer’s career in Houston are quickly coming to an end. The man that was supposed to be the stop gap at QB for the Houston Texans sealed his fate after a four-turnover performance in the teams 30-0 blow out loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the Wild Card round this past post season.
The Texans front office is working quickly to move the QB via trade before the season begins. In doing so, they are hoping to avoid a draft day blunder that could leave the team stuck with either the QB or his contract. Several teams including the Denver Broncos have inquired about Hoyer.
Denver, still in need of a viable option to start week one instead of Mark Sanchez, low balled the Texans and have since not re-upped their offer. The Jets and even the Rams may be looking to acquire Hoyer for the right price.
The Texans signing Brock Osweiler during FA and having Tom Savage on the roster sit in a good spot to draft a QB in the 3rd or 4th round also sealed Hoyer’s fate. Only time will tell how this all plays out.
