Panthers Wide Receiver Kelvin Benjamin was taken off the practice field in what appears to be a leg injury. On Wednesday morning, Benjamin was carted off in a golf cart and doctors were taking a look at his left knee.

Apparently, Benjamin was in a one-on-one drill and injured the leg while he was making a cut. The Florida State standout in his rookie season was the playmaker the Panthers needed at the Wide Receiver position. Benjamin ranked top 5 among rookies in targets (144), receptions (73), receiving yards (1,008) and touchdowns (9).

He came into camp in phenomenal shape and was looking to build off a awesome Rookie campaign. The extent of the injury is a sprained knee, but right now everyone in the Panthers organization is holding their breaths hoping that Benjamin can return to action soon.
