As of July 28th, reports have now been made that the Toronto Blue Jays have traded to get shortstop Troy Tulowitzki and RHP Latroy Hawkins. In return the Colorado Rockies will receive Jose Reyes and a couple of minor leaguers. There are 2 to 3 minor leaguers headed to Colorado, but the amount has not been disclosed yet.

Tulo is having a good season for himself, hitting .300 with 12 Homers and 53 RBIs. One thing is for sure, the Jays are definitely getting another big bat to go next to Josh Donaldson and José Bautista.

Jose Reyes has been having well season himself, hitting .284 with 4 Homers and 34 RBIs.

By all means this is an incredible trade for the Blue Jays who are tied in second place with the Tampa Bay Rays, 7 games behind the Yankees.

Troy will definitely make an immediate impact and hopefully give the Blue Jays that extra push to the playoffs. With getting Hawkins, the team now has a decent reliever to have in the bullpen in order to improve their pitching.
