Ben McAdoo Hired As New York Giants Head Coach

The team announced on Wednesday that offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo has been hired as the teams next head coach. McAdoo has been the offensive coordinator since the 2014-15 season.
Last season as offensive coordinator, McAdoo helped Eli Manning to have a pretty good season as starting quarterback, with the offense ranking at eighth in the league.
Although, near the end of the season, McAdoo made some bad play calling decision. The offense was not the main problem during the season, it was the defense.
The team wanted to stay in house, with the hiring of McAdoo as the new head coach. The decision to hire him surprised some people.
Manning will still have the same offense that worked well with him last year. McAdoo not having any head coaching experience might come back to bite the Giants in the next few years.
Only time will tell what happens. It would have been a better idea to go for a more experienced person to be the head coach and keep McAdoo as the offensive coordatior.
The transformation from coordatior to head coach is a big step up for McAdoo.
McAdoo has a lot of talent to work with on the offense, such as Odell Beckham Jr and Victor Cruz. The biggest challenge for McAdoo will be fixing up the defense that cost the team a lot of games last season.
If he can fix the defense and keep the offense as effective as it was last season, it will be a great hire for the team.
