Since last year at SummerSlam, Becky Lynch’s heel turn surprised just about everyone in the WWE universe. Based on the adjustments she has made, Lynch has managed to reach new heights with the industry.

Based on her attitude change, Becky Lynch is now comparable to the UFC’s Conor McGregor. For those who aren’t aware of McGregor by now, he essentially took over the UFC through trash talk in promotion settings, and more importantly by backing it up. In result, McGregor has become the hottest commodity in MMA.

After turning heel, Lynch entered a feud with Charlotte Flair. At Hell in a Cell, Lynch secured the Smackdown Live! Women’s Championship. Following the victory, Lynch began using the nickname “The Man”, after Flair’s father Ric Flair.

During the buildup to WWE’s Survivor Series event, Lynch had been booked to feud with Raw Women’s Champion and former UFC Bantamweight Champion  Ronda Rousey. Based on the promotions the WWE provided, we may be able to compare this to the likes of McGregor and Jose Aldo in 2015.

Due to injuries, Lynch was forced to pull out at the time. Despite fans feeling robbed of a main event, the hype was still present for when the two faced off later down the road.

Lynch lost her belt in the first ever women’s triple-threat TLC match against Flair and Asuka, due to interference from Rousey. Despite the loss, the attention continued to increase for Lynch, and the fan base never left her side. While interference never takes place in the UFC, McGregor did wind up getting stripped of his belt a few years ago, due to moving forward in boxing.

The year of 2019 is going to be a big one for Lynch. WrestleMania isn’t that far away, winning back the title is a possibility, and her match with Rousey could happen at any given moment. The same could be said for McGregor, as a title shot is on his mind, and his next UFC bout is on everyone’s minds.
