Arian Foster Receiving Surgery
During the Houston Texans first fully-padded training camp session, it has become reported that running back Arian Foster will require surgery on his groin.
Foster will most likely miss the start of the regular season. According to sources within ESPN, the Texans could put Foster on the short-term injured reserve, which would allow the team to bring Foster back to practices after week 6 and back to games after week 8.
Replacing Foster will be Alfred Blue, who took a big amount of first-team reps on Tuesday. Blue also missed parts of training camp, but this was apparently due to small cramps.
Since the 2010 season, Foster has the most 100-yard games (31) among running backs in the NFL. What does this mean for fantasy teams?
Look for in an increase draft stock for receivers such as DeAndre Hopkins and Alfred Blue, as they will be the key guys on the roster if Foster misses a chunk of this upcoming season.
