Allen Hurns, Jaguars Agree to Contract Extension

Just a few months ago, Jaguars GM David Caldwell noted at a meeting that it would be a priority to give Hurns an extension before the regular season began, so this news comes to no surprise for many.
The 24-year old signed with the Jaguars back in 2014 as an undrafted free agent out of Miami. Hurns was entering the final year of his contract this season, which was worth 3 years, $1.535 million dollars.
With Hurns locked up for awhile with the Jaguars now, it’s important to realize that this Jaguars offense is pretty lethal. With Allen Robinson, Julius Thomas, Marquise Lee and others, the Jaguars have been one of the most improved teams on paper.
Last season, Hurns hauled in 1,031 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns in 15 games started. Out of 121 qualified receivers, Pro Football Focus has Hurns ranked #18. Watch out for Allen Hurns in 2016.
