AJ Styles’ VS Shawn Michaels: Why It’s a Dream Match.

Starting last week, there have been rumors going around social media that WWE is planning to have a match between current WWE World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles’ and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels next year at Royal Rumble in San Antonio, Texas. The even is scheduled to take place in the Alamodome.

The last time Shawn Michaels was in a match, he put his monumental career on the line in a losing effort at WrestleMania 26 against The Undertaker. Before that match, we witnessed Shawn Michaels have a 25+ year career where he main evented many PPVs for the WWE with and without a championship while over his career facing the biggest names in WWE.  Win or lose, Shawn Michaels always put on the greatest matches, being known as the ‟Showstopper‟ and ‟Mr.WrestleMania.”

At the moment, AJ Styles’ is in his first reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion which he won in under a year. Before this, AJ Styles’ had won World Titles from companies such as PWG, ROH, TNA and NJPW. Upson signing Styles’ was known as the hottest free agent in the modern era when not tied down to a full-time contract. Over the years Styles’ would also face some of the biggest stars in and out of the WWE, such as Christopher Daniels, Kurt Angle, Jay Lethal, Kazuchika Okada, Chris Jericho and John Cena. Not only was AJ the first man to hold the NWA, TNA, and WWE World Championships but he also competed in this years Wrestle Kingdom 10 for NJPW and WrestleMania 32 for WWE while living up to his nickname the ‟Phenomenal One.”

Both men have done incredible things in their careers but what they have not done is face off in a match. So, With that being said, will the WWE make this “Dream Match” happen? If it does happen, win or lose for either man, it would be a match for the ages.
