This past weekend was one of the wild football weeks of the year thus far, as some of the top rookies had their designated bye weeks.
Honorable Mentions: Denver Broncos S Caden Sterns (2 tackles, 1 INT), New York Jets WR Elijah Moore (7 catches, 84 yards, 2 TD), Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields (291 pass yards, 45 Rush yards, 1 TD)
3. TE Pat Freiermuth, Pittsburgh Steelers
Pat Freiermuth cracks the top three this week with a great performance on Monday Night Football, totaling five receptions for 43 yards and two touchdowns. Freiermuth is starting to settle down as the main tight end in the Steelers offense, as he has three red zone scores across the last two games.
2. LB/DE Micah Parsons, Dallas Cowboys
Even though the Cowboys struggled in a loss to Denver on Sunday, Parsons was full of highlights. He finished with 10 total tackles and added on 2.5 more sacks, furthering his case for Defensive Rookie of the Year. Parsons is starting to become a regular on this list.
1. WR DeVonta Smith, Philadelphia Eagles
Smith had his breakout game on Sunday against the Chargers with five receptions for 116 yards and a touchdown. With the growing chemistry between Smith and Jalen Hurts, the Eagles are becoming more competitive in games. Eventually, he may start to enter the Offensive Rookie of the Year conversation.
