2021 NFL Rookies of the Week: Week 7

Advertisements

As we progress towards the middle of the season, we are starting to see select rookies fit comfortably in their roles on their team. After an explosive Week 7, here are the honorable mentions:

Honorable Mentions: Baltimore Ravens WR Rashod Bateman (3 rec, 80 yards), New York Giants DE Azeez Ojulari (5 tackles, 2.5 sacks), San Francisco 49ers RB Elijah Mitchell (107 yards, 1 TD)

3. QB Mac Jones, New England Patriots

Jones had a great showing in Week 7 in a blowout win over the New York Jets, passing for 307 yards and two touchdowns without surrendering a turnover. Jones is thriving in this Patriots system and has kept them in the Wild Card contention.

2. TE Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

Pitts recorded another stellar performance on Sunday in a win over the Miami Dolphins. He finished with seven receptions for 163 yards. Pitts is starting to come into his own and is making a mid-season push to match the hype he had around him entering the NFL Draft.

1. WR Ja’Marr Chase, Cincinnati Bengals

Making his fourth appearance and third occurrence in the top spot, Chase is proving to be a matchup nightmare for defensive backs. In a win over the Baltimore Ravens, Chase finished with eight receptions for 201 yards and a score. He has proven that he can play at a high level in the NFL, but at what point does he get tossed around with the top names at the receiver position?
