With the season coming in the home stretch, the race for Rookie of the Year on both sides of the ball is running out of time. Who will pull away in this respective class?
Honorable Mentions: Denver Broncos CB Patrick Surtain II (1 tackle, 1 INT), Dallas Cowboys DE/LB Micah Parsons (5 tackles, 1 Sack), New York Jets WR Elijah Moore (6 rec 77 yards 1 TD)
3. WR Amon-Ra St. Brown, Detroit Lions
St. Brown was a big part of the Detroit Lions first win of the 2021 season, totaling 10 receptions for 86 yards and a game-winning touchdown as the clock expired. With a breakout game under his belt, St. Brown is considered the primary receiver for the Lions moving forward.
2. QB Zach Wilson, New York Jets
In his second game back, Wilson was productive for the New York Jets, despite the loss. He surrendered one interception, but also finished with 226 yards and two touchdowns through the air, while also adding another score on the ground. Wilson kept New York competitive throughout the game and is getting settled into his role at the NFL level.
1. RB Javonte Williams, Denver Broncos
Williams showcased himself as the three-down back for the Denver Broncos this past weekend. He finished with 102 rushing yards, while also adding six receptions for 76 yards and a touchdown. After this breakout performance, Denver should question whether it should be Williams or Gordon getting the bulk of the touches moving forward.
