The NBA Trade Deadline is set for February 7th, and front offices around the league will surely be looking to remain active. Rumors have already begun to sprout, so here are the latest updates within each organization:

Atlanta Hawks:
- The Sacramento Kings have shown interest in Atlanta Hawks’ Jeremy Lin. The Hawks will remain sellers at the Trade Deadline.
Boston Celtics:
- The Boston Celtics will not move on from Terry Rozier before the Thursday deadline.
- When asked on whether he was committed to the Boston Celtics moving forward, Kyrie Irving was unresponsive and stated the following: “Talk to me July 1st”.
Brooklyn Nets: No News To Be Reported
Charlotte Hornets:
- The Memphis Grizzlies are on the verge of sending Marc Gasol to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Bismack Biyombo, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and a 1st-round pick.
- Charlotte is prepared to move on from Frank Kaminsky in any trade package available.
- The Charlotte Hornets are eager to re-sign Kemba Walker to a long-term extension.
Chicago Bulls:
- Washington has traded Otto Porter Jr. to Chicago in exchange for Bobby Portis, Jabari Parker, and a 2023 second-round pick.
- The Chicago Bulls have received Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and cash considerations from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
- The Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls discussed a trade involving Kentavious Caldwell-Pope on Monday. However, Caldwell-Pope has a no-trade clause, and doesn’t wish to depart from Los Angeles.
- The Golden State Warriors are interested in Robin Lopez, but may wait and speculate the buyout market.
Cleveland Cavaliers:
- The Cleveland Cavaliers have traded Rodney Hood to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Nik Stauskas, Wade Baldwin IV, and two 2nd-round picks.
- The Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Sacramento have completed a three-way trade. In the deal, Nik Stauskas, Wade Baldwin, and Iman Shumpert are sent to the Rockets, Alec Burks is sent to the Kings, and Brandon Knight, Marquese Chriss, and a protected 1st-round pick are sent to the Cavaliers.
- Cleveland Cavaliers’ Kevin Love has stated his interest to remain with the franchise. It is unlikely that the Cavaliers will find a suitor in time.
Dallas Mavericks:
- The Dallas Mavericks finalized a deal that sent Wes Matthews, DeAndre Jordan and Dennis Smith Jr. to the New York Knicks in exchange for Kristaps Porzingis, Courtney Lee, Tim Hardaway Jr and Trey Burke. The Dallas Mavericks have sent an unprotected 2021 1st-round pick, as well as a 2023 protected (top 10) 1st-round pick in the deal.
- The Sacramento Kings have traded Justin Jackson and Zach Randolph to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Harrison Barnes. The Mavericks will buyout the contract of Randolph.
- After being dealt to the Dallas Mavericks, Kristaps Porzingis intends to inform the front office that he will sign the qualifying offer in restricted free agency this summer.
Denver Nuggets:
- At the right price, the Denver Nuggets are open to shopping Garry Harris.
Detroit Pistons:
- The Los Angeles Lakers have sent rookie Svi Mykhailiuk and a 2nd-round pick to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Reggie Bullock.
- The Detroit Pistons have sent Stanley Johnson to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Thon Maker.
- The Detroit Pistons and Sacramento Kings have expressed interest in Memphis Grizzlies’ Marc Gasol.
- Blake Griffin has denied reports that he requested a trade from the Detroit Pistons.
Golden State Warriors:
- The Golden State Warriors are interested in Robin Lopez, but may wait and speculate the buyout market.
- After the New York Knicks added DeAndre Jordan, there may be concern that Kevin Durant will flee during free agency this summer. Jordan and Durant have an ongoing friendship off the court, and New York intends to make an offer to Durant down the road.
Houston Rockets:
- The Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Sacramento have completed a three-way trade. In the deal, Nik Stauskas, Wade Baldwin, and Iman Shumpert are sent to the Rockets, Alec Burks is sent to the Kings, and Brandon Knight, Marquese Chriss, and a protected 1st-round pick are sent to the Cavaliers.
Indiana Pacers: No News To Be Reported
Los Angeles Clippers:
- The Los Angeles Clippers have traded Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, and Mike Scott to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Landry Shamet, Wilson Chandler, Mike Muscala, a 2020 1st-round pick, 2021 unprotected first-round pick via Miami, and two 2nd-round picks.
- Anthony Davis has informed the New Orleans Pelicans that he is open to re-signing with the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, New York Knicks, or Milwaukee Bucks long-term.
Los Angeles Lakers:
- The Los Angeles Lakers have sent rookie Svi Mykhailiuk and a 2nd-round pick to the Detroit Pistons in exchange for Reggie Bullock.
- The Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans are not communicating regarding Anthony Davis. The latest offer included Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Ivica Zubac, and two 1st-round picks.
- The Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls discussed a trade involving Kentavious Caldwell-Pope on Monday. However, Caldwell-Pope has a no-trade clause, and doesn’t wish to depart from Los Angeles.
- Los Angeles is still interested in adding Washington Wizards’ Trevor Ariza. After the injury to John Wall, the Wizards may consider a “fire sale”.
Memphis Grizzlies:
- The Memphis Grizzlies are on the verge of sending Marc Gasol to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Bismack Biyombo, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and a 1st-round pick.
- The Toronto Raptors have offered Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas for Mike Conley and Marc Gasol, per league sources. The Grizzlies rejected this offer rather quickly.
- The Memphis Grizzlies will look to include departing from Chandler Parsons, who is owed $24.1M this season.
- The Utah Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies have discussed a trade that involves Ricky Rubio and Derrick Favorsfor Mike Conley.
Miami Heat:
- The Phoenix Suns have acquired Tyler Johnson and Wayne Ellington from the Miami Heat in exchange for Ryan Anderson. The agent of Ellington is currently working on a buyout in order for his client to join a playoff contender.
Milwaukee Bucks:
- The Detroit Pistons have sent Stanley Johnson to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Thon Maker.
- The Milwaukee Bucks are hesitant, but willing to shop around Eric Bledsoe at the right price.
- Khris Middleton has emphasized his interest of remaining with the Milwaukee Bucks. Middleton contains a player option entering the 2019-20 season.
Minnesota Timberwolves: No News To Be Reported
New Orleans Pelicans:
- The Los Angeles Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans have not communicated regarding Anthony Davis. The latest trade offer included Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma, Josh Hart, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Ivica Zubac, and two 1st-round picks.
- The Pelicans are unlikely to ship off Julius Randle in a trade before Thursday’s deadline.
- New Orleans has no interest in departing from Jrue Holiday.
- The New Orleans Pelicans are shopping around Nikola Mirotic and E’Twaun Moore.
New York Knicks:
- The Dallas Mavericks finalized a deal that sent Wes Matthews, DeAndre Jordan and Dennis Smith Jr. to the New York Knicks in exchange for Kristaps Porzingis, Courtney Lee, Tim Hardaway Jr and Trey Burke. The Dallas Mavericks have sent an unprotected 2021 1st-round pick, as well as a 2023 protected (top 10) 1st-round pick in the deal.
- As time runs out, the New York Knicks and Enes Kanter may pursue a buyout process. Kanter is owed $18.6M this season.
- Teams have made their interest known in New York Knicks’ Frank Ntilikina, but the front office has remained vocal in desiring to retain him moving forward.
- After the New York Knicks added DeAndre Jordan, there may be concern that Kevin Durant will flee during free agency this summer. Jordan and Durant have an ongoing friendship off the court, and New York intends to make an offer to Durant down the road.
- If bought out by the New York Knicks, the Houston Rockets and Philadelphia 76ers may be interested in signing Wes Matthews.
Oklahoma City Thunder:
- The Chicago Bulls have received Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and cash considerations from the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Orlando Magic:
- In terms of trade pieces, the Orlando Magic may be willing to depart from Terrence Ross or Nikola Vucevic. On the contrary, the front office is not willing to trade away Aaron Gordon.
- Before the trade between the New York Knicks and Dallas Mavericks on Thursday, there were reports that the Orlando Magic were willing to depart from Mo Bamba in order to receive Dennis Smith Jr. The rookie is currently on the market at the right price.
Philadelphia 76ers:
- The Los Angeles Clippers have traded Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, and Mike Scott to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Landry Shamet, Wilson Chandler, Mike Muscala, a 2020 1st-round pick, 2021 unprotected first-round pick via Miami, and two 2nd-round picks.
- The Philadelphia 76ers have received Malachi Richardson, a 2022 2nd-round pick, and the trade rights to Emir Preldzic from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for cash considerations.
- There is belief that the 76ers will deal Markelle Fultz in exchange for a veteran that can assist them in winning now.
- The Philadelphia 76ers are expected to hold interest in New York Knicks’ Wes Matthews.
- Philadelphia is considering shopping Dario Saric towards Thursday’s deadline.
Phoenix Suns:
- The Phoenix Suns have acquired Tyler Johnson and Wayne Ellington from the Miami Heat in exchange for Ryan Anderson. The agent of Ellington is currently working on a buyout in order for his client to join a playoff contender.
- Lavar Ball, father of Los Angeles Lakers’ Lonzo Ball, believes he can execute trading his son to the Phoenix Suns by “speaking it into existence”. Of course, the Ball family prefers to remain in Los Angeles.
Portland Trail Blazers:
- The Cleveland Cavaliers have traded Rodney Hood to the Portland Trail Blazers in exchange for Nik Stauskas, Wade Baldwin IV, and two 2nd-round picks.
- Al-Farouq Aminu is technically on the trading block for the Portland Trail Blazers, but the asking price is currently too high for suitors.
Sacramento Kings:
- The Houston Rockets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Sacramento have completed a three-way trade. In the deal, Nik Stauskas, Wade Baldwin, and Iman Shumpert are sent to the Rockets, Alec Burks is sent to the Kings, and Brandon Knight, Marquese Chriss, and a protected 1st-round pick are sent to the Cavaliers.

San Antonio Spurs:

Toronto Raptors:
- The Philadelphia 76ers have received Malachi Richardson, a 2022 2nd-round pick, and the trade rights to Emir Preldzic from the Toronto Raptors in exchange for cash considerations.
- The Toronto Raptors have offered Kyle Lowry and Jonas Valanciunas for Mike Conley and Marc Gasol, per league sources. The Grizzlies rejected this offer rather quickly.
Utah Jazz:
- The Utah Jazz and Memphis Grizzlies have discussed a trade that involves Ricky Rubio and Derrick Favors for Mike Conley.
Washington Wizards:
- Washington has traded Otto Porter Jr. to Chicago in exchange for Bobby Portis, Jabari Parker, and a 2023 second-round pick.
- Washington Wizards’ John Wall has undergone surgery on a ruptured Achilles. Wall will miss the next 12 months.
- Los Angeles is still interested in adding Washington Wizards’ Trevor Ariza. After the injury to John Wall, the Wizards may consider a “fire sale”.
