Just a day after the Blue Jays met with the agent of Troy Tulowitzki, it has been announced that Toronto will part ways with the shortstop. This news comes after General Manager Ross Atkins was frank about the position of Tulowitzki, stating that it was unlikely that the shortstop would be an everyday player.

Troy Tulowitzki still had two years left on his contract with the team, with rumors stating that he is still going to earn a guaranteed $34 million throughout what would have remained on his contract.

A 5-time All-Star, as well as a two time Golden Glove winner, Tulowitzki had a batting average of .290. That included 224 home runs and close to 800 runs batted in. The star shortstop missed the 2018 season with bone spurs in both heels, after only playing 66 games in the 2017 season. It was unknown as to whether he would have been ready to start once the 2019 season commenced.

There is no set facts about where Tulowitzki may end up, however a few teams have already been thrown out as potential suitors. The Seattle Mariners, Colorado Rockies (where the shortstop was prior to his Toronto run), and both New York teams have been mentioned.
