January 20th happens to be the first pay-per-view event of 2018 for the UFC, and it could quite possibly the biggest main event that we have seen in a long time
Within the card, Stipe Miocic will defend his UFC Heavyweight title against the destructive Francis Ngannou, who just recently knocked out Allistair Overeem in a statement bout. In his own shell, Miocic is an amazing heavyweight with arguably the best striking skills since Cain Velasquez, another former Heavyweight Champion.
In addition, Miocic has also defeated legendary Brazilian Fabricio Werdum in order to claim the Heavyweight title, and has also overcome Junior Dos Santos to further justufy his dominance within the Heavyweight division.
On the other hand, Ngannou has been on a six-fight win streak since his debut in the UFC. Defeating the likes of Anthony Hamilton, Andrei Arlovskii, and recently Overeem, he has shown the UFC that he desires to claim the UFC Heavyweight title from Miocic.
In all reality, Ngannou has the potential knockout power of an overpowered Mike Tyson. On top of an efficient ground game, Ngannou just loves to finish his fights left and right in any way possible.
The only person standing in front of Ngannou’s way is the current UFC Heavyweight champion who has had the same start as Ngannou, but doesn’t look to be allowing Ngannou to have any grasp of the title. For Ngannou, he is set on walking into the legendary arena of Madison Square Garden, defeating Miocic by any means necessary, and holding the title around his shoulder.
