Canada Swept Past Hungary in World Tournement

Canada crushed Hungary in Sunday night’s game of the Ice Hockey World Tournament, taking place in Saint Petersburg, Russia with a final score of 7-1.

The first period was seemingly average, and with Hungary currently having no players in the NHL it ended up being only 2-1, and that is when Canada decided they needed to step it up. With each period increasingly crushing Hungary, seven different players scored a goal that night, one being a familiar face, Brad Marchand. This was his second scoring of the tournament so far.

Canada’s win was no surprise, with them beating out USA 5-1 at their opening game to this one. Currently, Canada is at the top of the standings in the St. Petersburg group for the preliminary round of the tournament.
