After a successful year as offensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears, Adam Gase had a lot of interest from NFL teams looking for head coaches. The Miami Dolphins got the hottest name on the coaching market, after agreeing to a deal with Gase to become the new head coach.

Gase has a track record for helping quarterbacks to have great seasons. Looking at his history, in 2013-14 season, he was the offensive coordinator of Denver Broncos.

This is where he helped Peyton Manning to have a record breaking season. In the offseason, he signed with the Chicago Bears as the offensive coordinator, helping Jay Cutler to have a solid season (despite the record that the team finished with).

Making the transition from coordinator to head coach will be a challenge to Gase. Seeing from his track record, he will do just fine. Gase has a lot of potential to work with the Dolphins, as the team still needs to work on a few things. The pieces are still there for Gase to turn the team into a playoff contender.

The Dolphins made a great choice in Gase, the team did hire another offensive minded head coach, but Gase has potential to be a good head coach. The team needed to hire a coach that could turn this team around. Gase could be the man for the job in Miami.

With Gase now hired, the person that should be happy the most about this hiring is quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Tannehill has been improving season after season, waiting to make the jump to become a franchise quarterback. With Gase’s track record with quarterbacks, Tannehill should have a great season statistically. Now Tannehill has to work on being a leader on and off the field.
